Garbage

1. Garbage and recycling are on level 1. From the east wing lift head towards the other lift diagonally across the parking garage. From the west lift, turn left. Go up the set of stairs and use the fob to get into and out of the garbage room. 

2. Garbage is separated into four types: 

1) General household waste (bins with red lids in garbage room; 

2) Recycling (plastic, glass, cans) and paper/cardboard recycling (yellow and blue bins in garbage room)

3) Food, Organic and Green waste (FOGO) (green bins in the garbage room)

4) Returnable cans and bottles (the bin in the corner of the room)

3. Please break down boxes and cardboard to fit in the bins. This is particularly important at Christmas when the yellow-lidded bins get very full.

4. Please bag household waste. 

5. If you spill your garbage, please clean it up. There is a broom in the corner. 

6. Large items can be taken to the weekend transfer station on Moore St, just east of Catherine Street.  (https://www.innerwest.nsw.gov.au/live/waste-and-recycling/drop-offs-and-recycling-centres/weekend-transfer-station). This facility is open on Saturdays and Sundays only and there is a small charge. The charge  is lower for residents of the Inner West so remember to take  some address identification.
